Weekly Progress - Details
As last week, the bulk of my work in TUAH has been on the database. I finally mostly finished the iconset - with the exception of the little NPC face icons that will be used for the quest interface.

As you can see, I have all kinds of fun little icons that make the standard VXAce menu seem more exciting.
Next week, I plan to get into spriting. I need to get started on making NPCs - as there's a giant variety of those in the game. I will post some NPC designs in the next update.

Thank you! I'm super happy with how everything is turning out. Hopefully no one will get sick of seeing icons, because I'm planning to use a ton of them. :D
DeleteYep, a few icons make the whole menu so much prettier. Ah, I think it would be better to move a bit the gauges to the right so the they start just below the icons :o

DeleteHow did you get the graphics to appear next to the HP/MP and Class names. I've been using RPGMaker for a little while but I don't think I've made a dent in its secrets.
ReplyDeleteIt's actually with the help of a script (look up modern algebra's scripts). I don't think you can do it through just regular database manipulation.
